The "Ban the Cell Phone Ban" and press conference were originally organized on the steps of City Hall by the CECD2. The Council vows to support every effort to ensure our children's safety.

The Good News

Baruch College Campus High School announces "Our history teacher, Catherine Turso was named American Teacher of the Year for New York State by the Gilder Lehrman Society."

The Salk School was one of eight middle schools selected as a model site for science learning and science exit projects by the Urban Advantage program sponsored by the Museum of Natural History.

PS/IS 111 announces "We celebrated our 2nd Family math Night..." and "Our attendance has improved!" Eli Manning of the NY Giants led "What moves U" promoting physical fitness.

PS 116's fourth graders are ranked in the top 10 in the National Grade Elementary Chess Tournament.
