Early detection is vital. Reading specialists are not enough. There needs to be a scientific, educational, psychological (Sally Shaywitz) check list of signs to look for and not overlook signals  or mis-read a behavior or reaction of a child that has LD.  The progressive reading stlyes do not support children with LD. Basic phonetics and grammer starting from first grade will target the concerns and support the style and type of learning required to reach all children. Bring grammer and phonics back into the curriculun.</description>
